"Convert to Christianity Hadi Asgari was arrested Aug. 26, 2016 while on a weekend trip with friends. He and others, including a well-known Pentecostal pastor, were holding a family party in a garden in Firouz-Kouh County, near Tehran, when the police arrived. The officials arrested 17 people and beat everyone there.
[His] trial began in April 2017. [He was] accused of “violating the national security by hosting house churches and promoting Christianity.” In July 2017, The Islamic Revolutionary Court sentenced Hadi to 10 years in prison. [He is] being held in section four of Evin prison."

In your email to President Rouhani please be brief and respectfully request Hadi Asgari's release. Do not mention Voice of the Martyrs, Prisoner Alert or Engage Daily. I suggest you also ask the government of Iran to respect Article 18 of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which states the following:
"Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance."
Small, quick actions add up when everyday Christians engage every day.
