Each Sunday, Engage Daily will highlight an organization working to shape culture in a Christian way. We can take action by "Liking" them on Facebook, tweeting a link or article via Twitter, praying for them, or even donating our money or our time if needed.
For the first Sunday of the year, I want to highlight an organization which influences philosophy, one of the most foundational disciplines in the academic world. Henry Ward Beecher said, "The philosophy of one century is the common sense of the next." Fortunately, there are many evangelical Christian philosophers working in academia today, including many at secular universities. The organization which brings them together is the Evangelical Philosophical Society (EPS).
"The mission of the Evangelical Philosophical Society is to glorify God through the faithful practice of philosophy, fostering a deeper understanding of God and the world he created while both encouraging and enabling Christian philosophers to engage philosophical and spiritual issues in the academy, church, and culture."
Please pray for the EPS, and "Like" them on their Facebook page.
