Weekends at Engage Daily are dedicated to state issues. If you do not live in the state featured, you can still act by either forwarding to someone you know in the state who would be sympathetic to the cause featured, or by completing an action you missed from earlier in the week.
This one is from Concerned Women of America. The link provides instructions on how to call. Here is some background from the CWA website:
"After agreeing to provide a room for a Family in America Capitol Hill Symposium, where Dr. Janice Crouse, Executive Director and Senior Fellow of CWA's Beverly LaHaye Institute was speaking, Sen. Kirk started receiving calls from "gay" rights activists denouncing his decision to allow the discussion to happen. Sen. Kirk finally caved to the pressure to silence the debate, and his handlers gave this explanation to reporters: "Sen. Kirk doesn't affiliate with groups that discriminate."
That's the real danger here. Sen. Kirk's religious discrimination. Not ours. We are not calling on senators who support family values to cancel events sponsored by "gay" rights activists. We welcome the debate. In fact, we work with many senators who don't agree with us on specific issues on a variety of other issues. We are all Americans. But we must call out Sen. Kirk on his discrimination against people of faith."
